North of Toronto:
Algonquin Park -
Day Trip from cottage in Parry Sound, or stay longer if you choose.
It is Ontario's biggest park and if there is a moose, deer or bear to see in the wild,
this would be the place. The are many trails and inland lakes that are beautiful,
and remote. It is a very popular destination for campers and naturalists.

Sault Ste. Marie and the Agawa Canyon trip-
This is really incredible.  3-5 days.
Before or after visiting Parry Sound, drive to this town (its a hefty drive), book a train
trip from there to the Agawa Canyon. This is far north and very Canadian. It is
something you will not see in Europe. It is a bigger trip, but really beautiful and memorable.
